How to acquire Skill Points in Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms
Skill Points are used to unlock Skills and can be obtained by leveling up. Leveling up in Alaloth: COTFK is done by completing Fighting Areas. You will level up once the very first time you complete a Fighting Area and from there on, you will level up once per two Fighting Areas completed. Note that in this context, Fighting Areas refer to those unclaimed by a Champion and have a red flag on their icon on the world map.
Each level up will grant you one Skill Point. Choose your Skills wisely as you can only unlock a maximum of 4.
How to Respec Skills in Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms
If you'd like to change your chosen Skills, you can offer up an Orb of Chaos to the gods at any Shrine in Plamen. Orbs of Chaos are special items that can be purchased from certain Merchants, obtained as loot from completing Fighting Areas, as rewards for completing Quests or finding them out in the world. Shrines are places of worship where the player is resurrected when they are defeated in combat. There are plenty of Shrines scattered across the world of Plamen.
Offering an Orb of Chaos will reset all of your Stat, Trait and Skill Points, allowing you to rebuild these characteristics.
Professions in Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms
Professions initially serve as a secondary category for Skills. Within each way of power, there are 3 Professions, each with 4 Skills available. Players can mix and match any Skills from any combination of Professions or ways of power to create a build that feels effective. However, players will lose this freedom if they decide to specialize in a Profession by undergoing tutelage from a Grand Master.
Grand Masters in Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms
Grand Masters are special NPCs that players can meet on their journey who can offer secrets of their Profession. Players can specialize in a single Profession by speaking to the appropriate Grand Master. Specialization will replace all Skills with the 4 Skills related to the chosen Profession. Players will also obtain a very powerful item for doing so. However, specializing in a Profession will cause players to lose the ability to respec at Shrines or learn Skills from any other professions.
